Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is actively seeking a highly organized and motivated Senior Warehouse Supervisor to join our clients logistics hub in the United Kingdom. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing warehouse teams, optimizing inventory control, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and strong operational experience to manage large-scale warehouse functions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to ensure productivity and performance standards are met.

• Implement efficient systems for inventory management and stock control.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

• Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service departments for seamless workflow.

• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular performance and operational reports.

• Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and recommend improvements where necessary.

• Manage shift schedules, resolve staff issues, and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.

• Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

• Proven leadership experience in warehouse operations or logistics management.

• Excellent knowledge of warehouse software systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead by example and maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse teams.

• Understanding of compliance, safety standards, and operational excellence in logistics.

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience, preferably in a large-scale or fast-moving environment.

• Experience working with automated or technology-driven warehouse systems is an advantage.

• Prior international or multicultural team experience will be considered a strong asset.

Working Hours

• Full-time position based in the UK Logistics Hub.

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility for peak-season shifts and weekend coverage when necessary.
